How To Live Debt Free?
Before I even begin, let me just assert one point – learning how to live debt free and actually living debt free are two exceptionally different things. Living debt free is definitely a lifestyle decision. It will affect your entire life, every little thing you do, even how you use appliances and lights at home.
Life Of A Debt Free Consumer
That being said, it stands to reason then to properly learn how to live debt free, you must understand the personal finance philosophy of someone who lives without debt. In other words, you need to know how a financially responsible person thinks and lives.
Of course this single article can’t possibly cover everything – but you can look to your local library for biographies on people who became rich for a few excellent examples. Pay especially close attention to their opinions on personal finance and anything to do with spending or earning money for the most insight.
Tips For A Debt Free Lifestyle
First and foremost, a financially responsible person’s concept of debt is not exactly what you would call normal. They wouldn’t dream of owing even one red penny to anyone, ever. If they use a credit card, the balance is paid at least weekly, and they certainly don’t get a loan to buy a car. Reason being, they understand just how expensive credit cards truly are, and the fact cars are actually a liability – not an asset – and should therefore never be purchased with a loan, because it will never increase in value.
Definitely make careful note of that last point – “because it will never increase in value.” If you just ask yourself “will it appreciate in value?” before making any purchase with your credit score, you can drastically change your debt situation.
